Chocolate Chip Quinoa Cookie Recipe

Healthy cookies that taste good? They have my vote! These cookies are pretty healthy - they are made with whole wheat flour and have quinoa in them which gives them more protein and nutrients than your average cookie. I use semi-sweet chocolate chips because they have less sugar than both milk chocolate chips and carob chips. You can use either white sugar or sucanat, depending on what you have on hand. They do have more of a soft cake like texture instead of a traditional chocolate chip cookie texture, but I think the texture makes them more interesting!

How to Make Lotion Bars

The other day I ran out of the lotion bars that I had been purchasing so I quickly whipped up my own. I used ingredients that I had on hand and they turned out great. I actually made two different recipes and I like them both – the first one is a harder bar that is less slippery and oily. It goes on smooth and absorbs quickly without being oily. However it is a little harder to apply since it doesn't have very much slip and glide to it. My husband usually does not like homemade lotions and lotion bars because they are too oily and he tried this one and loved it. The second bar is more oily and has more slip and glide to it but it doesn't absorb quite as quickly. You choose which one you like more!
