{Herbal Learning Guide} An Introduction

http://www.ericksonandco.com/p/hearbal-learning-guide.html

I believe that Mother Nature has given us many ways to help ourselves be healthy. One of these ways is plants (aka herbs). Plants offer a marvelous system of natural healing, have nutritional and culinary value, and do good for our souls. The study of Herbology embraces all different aspects of herbs while emphasizing health and well being as its primary focus. But where to start?

That is why I am posting an herbal learning guide for you (and me!). These lessons are going to guide you on how to study herbs and what to study. This guide will be an outline of things for you to research on your own. It will be based on a correspondence course that I am taking from RosemaryGladstar. If you would like to learn everything she teaches in her course, you will have to take her class :) But by following along and doing your research, you should get an idea of how to use herbs in your life, for yourself and for your family. I am not going to include my thoughts or opinions, simply because I am not an expert; I am learning, just like you. There are many books that have been written, many courses out there, and many people that have been using herbs for years (and even decades) – these are the sources that you will be learning from.

I invite you to follow along, study, and let the ancient wisdom of herbs enter your lives!

  7. This is great. I wish more doctors used herbal methods these days then simply perscribing a stronger antibiotic, that our bodies learn to resist after awhile. Great post!

  17. In the country where I was born we use herbs as an alternative medicines. I used oregano with honey when my kids had coughs. It worked wonders! God created these plants for us to use. They are every where around us.
